Benjamin Buchanan, DVM, DACVIM, DACVECC
Benjamin Rice Buchanan, DVM, DACVIM, DACVECC graduated from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine. He received Diplomate ACVIM (large animal) status in 2005 from the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine and Diplomate ACVECC (large animal) status in 2006 from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. Since 2005, he has practiced veterinary medicine at Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals and has held the title Vice President and managing partner since 2014. In 2012, he was awarded Texas Equine Veterinarian of the Year by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Buchanan is also a Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society member. On colic, Dr. Buchanan has lectured extensively and been published in textbooks and journals.
